Everything you need to know to begin our collaboration.
If your voice professor has paired us together this semester, you're in the right place.
This page contains everything you need to set up your collaboration plan, schedule rehearsals, prepare for appointments, and manage your work with me throughout the semester.
All students, including returning students, must begin with Step 1 and activate a new collaboration plan for the current semester.
Start with Step 1 below. 👇
Your plan covers my work with you throughout the semester, including your scheduled voice lessons with your professor, bookable rehearsal time with me, and covered classical seminar and jury performances.
There are two plans.
Best for students with one weekly half hour voice lesson.
Semester Tuition: $640
Four payments of $160
Suggested use of the plan includes:
Thirteen half hour voice lessons with your professor and me
Sixteen 20-minute rehearsals or Eight 40-minute rehearsals with me
Classical seminars (at no additional cost)
Classical jury (at no additional cost)
Your appointment time is flexible, so your rehearsal time can be arranged week to week depending on your needs and your professor's recommendations.
Best for students with one weekly hour voice lesson.

Suggested use of the plan includes:
Thirteen hour lessons with your professor and me
Ten 40-minute rehearsals or equivalent 20-minute rehearsals with me

Your appointment time is flexible and can be adjusted around your studio needs throughout the semester.
A $1 payment through Acuity activates your plan for the semester.
Before completing checkout, you will be asked to review and agree to the services agreement for your selected plan. Please read it carefully, since it contains the complete policies regarding payment, scheduling, cancellations, unused time, performances, and termination.
After activation, Acuity will provide you with a new subscription code for the semester.
Save that code. You will use it whenever you schedule a rehearsal.
After activating your plan, Acuity will give you a subscription code.
You'll use it whenever you schedule a rehearsal.
The subscription code tells Acuity that your appointment is covered by your collaboration plan and allows the system to keep track of your remaining appointment time.
If Acuity asks you to pay for a rehearsal that should be covered by your plan, do not pay yet. First make sure your subscription code has been entered correctly.
There are two kinds of appointments you'll hear me talk about:
Your regular voice lesson with your voice professor and me.
I coordinate these with your professor. You do not need to book them through Acuity.
Time with me without your voice professor.
You are responsible for scheduling these through Acuity.
Rehearsals are available in:
20-minute appointments
40-minute appointments
You may schedule rehearsals in advance through the end of the semester.
I strongly recommend looking at your semester schedule early and reserving rehearsal times around performances, juries, studio requirements, work shifts, and other commitments.
When booking, make sure your subscription code is applied to the appointment.
If your code is not automatically recognized, select Enter Subscription Code and enter it manually.
You are responsible for scheduling your available rehearsal time. Unused rehearsal time is not refunded and does not roll into another semester.

10:00 AM to 11:00AM
2:00 PM to 2:20 PM
3:00 PM to 7:00 PM
I am not regularly available for rehearsals on Tuesdays or Fridays this semester.
Because many students also work on or off campus, I recommend planning your rehearsal schedule early and protecting these windows when possible.
Book a Waitlist appointment through Acuity.
This tells me that you need a rehearsal that week but couldn't find an available slot. I'll use the waitlist to help identify possible openings or cancellations.
Please send me your music at least one week before I am expected to play it whenever possible.
Music should be:
Complete
Clean
Legible
In the correct key
Sent as a PDF when available
The earlier I receive your repertoire, the more effectively I can prepare for your lesson, rehearsal, or performance.
If your repertoire changes, send the new music as soon as possible.
You can also upload your pdf music to your Repertoire Dashboard so you can always have easy access to it.
Your Repertoire Dashboard is where we'll keep track of your music throughout the semester, including sheet music, recordings, practice tracks, goal dates, performance dates, and your progress on each piece.
Find your name under Repertoire Dashboards on the Resources Page, open your personal dashboard, request access, and add the repertoire you're currently working on. We'll go through the rest together during our first rehearsal.
Below you will find a number of topics or resources to help answer the questions you might have!
If you can't find the information here, than please let me know.
Rehearsal time isn't only for running through songs.
Depending on what you need, we can use your rehearsal for:
Music rehearsal
Vocal coaching
Performance planning
Working through difficult musical passages
Practice track recording
Warm-up exercises
Chart writing
Musical tutoring
Audition preparation
Repertoire preparation
Practice tracks are recorded live during your rehearsal using the acoustic piano and your own recording device.
You may also find a collection of tracks I have previously made in this google drive folder.
Your collaboration plan includes:
Covered classical seminar performances
Your classical jury
Your collaboration plan does not automatically include or guarantee:
Recitals
Recital rehearsals
Auditions
Showcases
Other outside performances
If you have an upcoming recital, audition, showcase, or other performance, contact me as early as possible so we can discuss availability, rehearsal needs, and any additional cost.
Please schedule no more than two rehearsals per week unless we have made other arrangements for make-ups or recital preparation.
Book a Waitlist appointment so I know you need help finding a rehearsal time.
Rehearsals take place in a practice room in Wilson, MPAC, or Hitch.
Please plan to arrive early enough to find an available room before your scheduled rehearsal time. Once you have a room, text me the building and room number, and I'll meet you there.
If I have rehearsals scheduled back-to-back, I will usually stay in the same room for the entire rehearsal block. If I'm already set up in a room before your appointment, I'll let you know where to meet me.
Even if you think I may already have a room, please don't assume the student before you found one. Come prepared to secure a room if needed.
Yes. Please plan to find a rehearsal room before your scheduled time.
In general, the first student in one of my rehearsal blocks will find a room, and I will stay in that room for the remainder of the block. This saves rehearsal time and keeps me from running back and forth between buildings between appointments.
However, please don't assume that a room has already been secured by the student before you. Come prepared to find a room if needed.
If I'm already set up in a room when your rehearsal approaches, I'll let you know where to meet me.
In general, no. If I have another rehearsal immediately after yours, I will usually remain in the room for the next student.
If you need a room to continue practicing afterward, please plan to find another available room.
Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your appointment.
When appropriate notice is given, we may be able to arrange a make-up appointment at a mutually convenient time.
You can cancel and reschedule through Acuity.
Appointments should be scheduled during my regular work hours.
Appointments outside those hours are not guaranteed and may involve additional fees.
Additional lessons or rehearsals may be scheduled separately when availability permits and will be billed at $50 / hour.
No. I coordinate lesson times with your voice professor.
You only use Acuity to schedule rehearsals with me.
Your subscription code probably isn't applied.
Look for Enter Subscription Code, enter the code you received when you activated your plan, and try again.
If it still isn't working, contact me before paying.
Yes.
You may book through the end of the semester, and I strongly encourage you to plan ahead, particularly around juries, seminars, recitals, auditions, and busy points in the semester.
You do not need to schedule your jury with me through Acuity. Jury scheduling is handled separately from your regular rehearsals.
Closer to juries, I will send you instructions for submitting your availability and any information I need from you. Once the jury scheduling process opens, please respond promptly, since I have to coordinate jury times across multiple students and their final exam schedules.
Your classical jury is included in your collaboration plan at no additional cost.
More detailed Fall 2026 jury scheduling instructions will be posted here once the School of Music's process is confirmed.
Hi! I'm Aaron. I graduated from Belmont in 2015 with a degree in Commercial Voice, and I've been working as a collaborative pianist here since 2013. I'm also a vocalist and have a lifelong love of the performing arts.
Outside of Belmont, I'm the Worship Director at The Circle Community Church here in Nashville, which is where you'll find me most of my other work days. My faith and my church community are an important part of my life.
When I'm not working, I spend a lot of time with my husband and our cat, playing board games and TTRPGs with friends, going to the theatre, watching movies, and reading.
I'm not particularly good at talking about myself, so that's probably enough about me! You'll get to know me much better once we start working together. (:
